How Do I Turn Text into a TikTok Slideshow?
Three steps, and the only thing you supply is the writing you already did.
1
Paste Your Text
A script, a list, notes, an outline — anything with a point and some structure. No URL, no file, no published article required.
2
AI Splits It Into Slides
WaveGen decides where the breaks go, pulls the strongest 4–8 points, and builds one image per point with a headline and matching imagery.
3
Post as Photo Mode
Publish the set as a TikTok photo slideshow or an auto-advancing slideshow with music — scheduled from WaveGen or exported.
What Can You Paste In?
Most people underestimate how much finished writing they are sitting on. It does not have to be published, polished, or written for social — it only has to have a point.
Scripts You Never Filmed
The video script sitting in your drafts becomes a slideshow instead — the writing was the hard part and it is already done.
Lists and Frameworks
"5 things I'd tell my younger self" maps one item per slide. The most reliably converting shape on the platform.
Notes from Client Calls
The questions clients keep asking are the posts your audience wants. Paste the notes, get the slideshow.
Course and Workshop Material
A module outline is already structured teaching. Slideshows are the closest social format to how it was written.
Long Replies You Wrote Once
That thoughtful Slack message or email answer deserves more than one reader. Paste it in and it becomes a post.
Anything in Your Notes App
Half-finished thoughts, observations, opinions. If it has a beginning and a point, it can be a slideshow.
What’s the Best Tool for Making TikTok Slideshows?
CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Express are design tools — you decide what each slide says and place it yourself, with much more control than WaveGen gives you. WaveGen does the editorial step: reading your text and deciding how it breaks into slides.
| Feature | WaveGen | CapCut | Canva | Adobe Express |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Decides how to split your text into slides | ||||
| Start from raw pasted text | Manual entry | Manual entry | Manual entry | |

Comparison based on publicly available feature lists as of August 2026. WaveGen is not a canvas or timeline editor — for pixel-level control or a large template library, Canva and Adobe Express are better tools, and CapCut is the only one here that can attach TikTok trending audio directly. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
How to Turn Text into a TikTok Slideshow with WaveGen
Six steps from a block of text to a scheduled post.
Step 1: Find text that already has a shape
The best input has a beginning and a point — a list, a sequence, an argument, a set of numbers. Freeform venting converts badly; a paragraph that could be summarized in one sentence converts well. If you are staring at a wall of text, the fastest fix is to add line breaks between the distinct ideas before pasting, which tells the AI where you think the seams are.
Step 2: (Optional) Set up your brand kit
Configure your colors, fonts, and logo once and every slideshow inherits them. On TikTok, where a viewer might see three of your posts in a week without ever visiting your profile, visual consistency is how they start recognizing you as a source rather than as another anonymous post in the feed.
Step 3: Paste and generate
Drop the text in and click through. WaveGen selects the strongest 4–8 points, writes each slide, and generates matching imagery. Around 200 to 1,500 words is the sweet spot — much longer and the AI discards a lot of what you gave it, which usually means you had two slideshows rather than one.
Step 4: Rewrite the first slide by hand
The opening image decides whether anyone swipes, and it is the one slide always worth editing yourself. Make it a specific claim or a real tension rather than a title. "I stopped sending follow-up emails and my reply rate doubled" earns a swipe; "Thoughts on follow-ups" does not. Everything after slide one is judged by whether slide one earned attention.
Step 5: Cut the weak slides
A six-slide slideshow with no filler beats a ten-slide one with three. Delete anything that restates the previous slide or exists only to set up the next. Then check the images: if two slides look near-identical at thumbnail size, swap one, because visual sameness reads as padding even when the words differ.
Step 6: Add music, then export or schedule
Pick a background track for the auto-advancing version, or skip the music and export the images if you plan to add a trending sound inside TikTok. Then schedule to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Pinterest from WaveGen. If you generated several slideshows from one sitting, space them across the week rather than posting them together.
No credit card required. Paste text and see the slides in under three minutes.
Why Photo Slideshows Suit Writing
TikTok is not only a video platform. Photo mode is the format where written ideas survive the trip to the feed intact.
The reader controls the pace
In video, a point that needs four seconds to land gets three and is gone. In a slideshow, the viewer holds on the image until they have it, then swipes. Arguments, statistics, and step-by-step processes all survive that translation — which is precisely the kind of thing people write down and precisely what gets lost in a fast cut.
Nothing to film, nothing to perform
The reason most writers never build a presence on TikTok is that video seems to demand being on camera. Photo slideshows do not. There is no filming, no presenting, and no voice. The skill the format actually rewards — saying something clearly in a few words — is the one you already have.
Consistency is cheap and compounds
Because every slideshow inherits the same brand kit, a viewer who sees three of your posts in a week starts recognizing them as one source. On a feed where almost everything is anonymous, being visually recognizable is a real advantage, and it costs nothing once the kit is configured.
Saves beat views on reference content
Slideshows built around a genuinely useful list or dataset get saved, and saves are a strong ranking signal. A post someone returns to twice outperforms one watched through once. Reference-style writing — the kind sitting in most people's notes — is unusually good at earning that behavior.
Have the text somewhere else? If it is already published, start from the URL instead — blog to TikTok slideshow fetches the article for you. If the same text should also become an Instagram or LinkedIn feed post, text to carousel builds that from the same paste, and text to YouTube Shorts turns it into a vertical clip. One block of writing, several formats — see content repurposing for the full set.
Posting the Slideshow
The same slides behave differently depending on where they go.
TikTok photo mode (1080×1920)
Photo posts auto-advance with the audio and can also be swiped manually. Text has to survive a first pass at speed, so one idea per image and short lines beat dense paragraphs. If you want a trending sound rather than the built-in track, export the images and assemble the post inside TikTok — the licensed catalog is only available to posts built in-app.
Instagram carousels (swipe-only)
Instagram does not auto-advance, so slide two has to justify the swipe from slide one — front-load the value rather than saving it for the end. The compensation is that Instagram resurfaces carousels to people who did not engage the first time, so a strong reference post keeps earning long after it was posted.
LinkedIn and Pinterest
LinkedIn renders the same slides as a document post, where B2B audiences read further than on any other feed — worth posting there too if your text is professional in nature. Pinterest treats each slide as a searchable image that keeps driving traffic for months, which suits evergreen how-to material. Both are scheduled from the same place in WaveGen.
