How to schedule a LinkedIn post
01
Paste your post
Paste the text and add up to 20 images or one video. The preview shows roughly what appears before LinkedIn's “see more”.
02
Connect LinkedIn
Sign in to WaveGen and connect your LinkedIn profile or a company page you manage. Your post opens in the editor, ready to schedule.
03
Pick a date and time
Choose when it goes out. WaveGen adds it to your content calendar and publishes it at that time.
What you can schedule to LinkedIn
The scheduler takes the post you already have. It doesn't rewrite your text unless you ask it to.
Text posts
Up to 3,000 characters. Line breaks are kept as you typed them, so short paragraphs stay short.
Image posts
One image or a set of up to 20. Use the arrows on each thumbnail to set the order people swipe through.
Video posts
One MP4, MOV or WebM file up to 300 MB. WaveGen uses a frame from the start as the cover; you can change it in the editor.
Profile or company page
Connect a personal profile, or a LinkedIn company page where you are an admin, and choose where each post goes.
Check these before you schedule
Small things that change how a scheduled LinkedIn post performs once it's live.
Lead with the first 200 characters
LinkedIn shows about two lines on desktop and fewer on mobile before “see more”. If the opening line doesn't make the point, most people never open the rest.
Pick a time your readers are working
Most LinkedIn reading happens on weekdays during working hours in your audience's time zone. See our best time to post on LinkedIn guide for a starting point, then test.
Leave room to reply
Schedule posts for times you can answer the first comments. Early replies keep the conversation going.
